ALTAIR APPOINTS CO-HEADS OF RESEARCH

High conviction Australian equities boutique manager Altair Asset Management (Altair) today announced the appointment of Alvin Chan and Tim Riordan as Co-Heads of Research for the investment firm. This announcement follows on from the recent appointment of Dr. Sally Warneford as Senior Analyst.

In addition both Alvin and Tim are currently and will continue to be the Co-Portfolio Managers of Altair’s funds, the Altair Advantage Fund and the Altair Income Fund. Alvin and Tim also serve on Altair’s Investment Committee which includes Gerard Minack, Stephen Roberts and Altair’s Executive Chairman, Philip Parker.

“I am delighted with the appointments as both Alvin and Tim have the necessary investment experience and acumen to further develop and enhance the institutional research process in addition to running portfolios. Sally brings many years of institutional investment experience to strengthen the capabilities of the firm.” Executive Chairman, Mr. Parker said.

Sally holds a PhD in Medicine and provides a unique insight into healthcare companies with a career that includes medical research roles and extensive experience in analysing stocks and managing equity portfolios. Prior to Altair, Sally was responsible for global equity analysis at Platinum Asset Management.
